Role Purpose:
To manage the Warehouse function through the efficient receiving and storage of products, to ensure accurate order picking and despatch methods are deployed.  In addition the role requires continues development of Warehouse material handling systems, to bring about improved efficiency and reductions in operational costs.  To take responsibility for quality in relation to the Warehouse function.   

 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the Warehouse Operations Team to maximize performance and efficiency.
  • Plan resources based on business demand through effective cross-functional communication.
  • Ensure safe storage, handling, and overall warehouse safety standards.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations and maintain strong on-site team engagement.
  • Monitor costs, performance, and implement productivity and efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting, and warehouse statistics.
  • Manage recruitment, training, development, and performance of staff in line with HR policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare budgets, reports, and contribute to management meetings and decision-making.
  • Oversee quality processes, including customer complaints and defect prevention.
  • Manage warehouse planning, identify risks, and proactively address operational issues.
  • Lead facility and maintenance operations, including budgeting and resource planning.
  • Coordinate maintenance programs, contractors, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement, equipment management, and operational optimization.

 

Requirements:

  • 4 Years warehouse of management experience within high-level Warehouse environment
  • Excellent written/verbal skills in English
  • Proven track record in managing physical infrastructure and large-scale Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP (specifically Warehouse)
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Master’s Degree in a relevant technical or business field (desirable).
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (desirable).
  • Knowledge of HR practises/Employment Law (desirable).
  • Experience in the Automotive Sector or high-velocity aftermarket distribution (desirable).
