Junior Trade Compliance Analyst

This is a great opportunity to join our DRiV Bucharest Global Business Services Center as Junior Trade Compliance Analyst. 

 

In this role, your primary objective is to assist with maintaining an import/export control structure consisting of operational processes and import/export documentation. You will help perform the day-to-day management of all trade compliance activities. This role is crucial to ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. This position requires attention to detail to investigate information, resolve issues, and implement process improvements.

 

What you will do:

  • Responsible for US, CA and EMEA Region project classification work
  • Will be required to support product Free Trade Agreement Qualification efforts for all regions; when required, will solicit suppliers for FTA certificates.
  • Will support collection of Supplier solicitation of Long-Term Origin declarations.
  • Fall back support for EMEA Customs Operations / CBAM / Green Tax / REACH Compliance
  • Provide supplemental operational support for US/CA operations; will serve as “Out of Office” support for US/CA Operations
  • Support in managing over solicitating suppliers for Supply Chain Security Questionnaires; where suppliers are not meeting Minimum Security Requirements, the analyst will build an action plan with the supplier to meet requirements.
  • Assist with collecting data reports from all broker partners globally with data prep for trade metrics.

 

What you'll have to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / business / materials management /supply chain / logistics / international affairs / trade or other related field
  • Experience working with international trade regulations, classification and import/export laws is considered a plus
  • Ability to meticulously review documentation and identify discrepancies.
  • Critical thinking skills, strong communication abilities, organizational expertise, and the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams).   
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts as they relate to importing and exporting.
