Job Summary

Responsible for leading and providing technical guidance on Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (EHS) programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, incident prevention, and continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance across the Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide technical leadership for Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental programs and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, company policies, and corporate standards.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses, recommending preventive and corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, assessments, opinions, and recommendations regarding occupational and environmental risks.
• Develop, implement, and monitor EHS standards, procedures, and internal regulations.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response programs, including fire protection, rescue activities, and environmental emergencies.
• Define, control, and audit collective and personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring effectiveness, quality, and compliance.
• Support the specification and acquisition of equipment, machinery, and substances, evaluating potential occupational and environmental risks.
• Lead and support EHS training programs, promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
• Monitor workplace exposure to physical, chemical, and biological hazards, recommending appropriate control measures.
• Communicate health, safety, and environmental risks to employees and stakeholders, ensuring awareness and compliance.
• Ensure all EHS incidents, observations, audits, and compliance events are properly recorded, investigated, and reported.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing risks, improving environmental performance, and enhancing employee safety.

EHS Responsibilities

• Continuously ensure compliance with company EHS policies, procedures, and standards.
• Promptly identify and report unsafe conditions, hazardous situations, environmental concerns, and emergency scenarios.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety and environmental management.
• Demonstrate and promote safe behaviors and environmental awareness throughout the organization.
• Understand the environmental aspects of assigned activities and manage associated impacts using a lifecycle perspective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Safety, Environmental, Industrial, Mechanical, or related field.
• Professional registration as required by local regulations.
• Experience in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, incident investigation, and emergency response.
• Advanced communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
