PRODUCT SPECIALIST
Role Summary
Product Specialist is responsible for leading the technical and strategic management of DRiV’s product portfolio in the automotive aftermarket. This role acts as an internal and external technical reference, driving complex analyses, strategic decisions, and initiatives related to product development, positioning, and lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans for assigned product lines
- Conduct in-depth analysis of product performance, market share, profitability and competitiveness.
- Make decisions regarding product launches, line expansions, replacements and end-of-life processes.
- Prioritize the product roadmap in alignment with market trends and global planning.
- Serve as the primary technical reference for sales teams, key customers, distributors, workshops and fleet operators.
- Evaluate technical and commercial feasibility for new product opportunities.
- Anticipate risks and strategic opportunities in the aftermarket.
- Collaborate with local and global Engineering teams on product development and validation.
- Manage the development schedule with the stakeholders involved.
- Contribute to decisions involving specifications, materials, manufacturing processes, packaging and quality standards.
- Review and validate all technical materials (catalogs, websites, folders, videos, data sheets, and training content).
- Support the sales team in strategic customer negotiations and technical visits.
- Ensure accuracy of all product information: applications, attributes, specifications, codes, descriptions and catalog data.
Requirements & Competencies
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Production Engineering, or related fields.
- +5 years of experience in the Automotive or aftermarket industry.
- +5 years in Product management
Technical Knowledge
- Strong expertise in Steering and Suspension and/or Engine products.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and Automotive industry standards.
Strategic Competencies
- Strong analytical capability and strategic business vision.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary projects.
- Advanced English language for global interaction (Mandatory).
- Advanced Office 365
- Knowledge in SAP system
