Job Description:
Responsible for price updates and special pricing process.
Price Update Process: Analyze market data, sales data, historical selling prices, and margins to manage pricing for optimal balance of profitability and competitiveness.
- Obtain and validate competitive intelligence (esp. on-line).
- Coordinate price system maintenance.
- Complete and file reports for each pricing action.
- Communicate price changes to Sales and Customer Service.
- Conduct price rationalization reviews, e.g. BOM/Kits, Supersessions, Customer Groups, margin corrections.
- Develop/assess price update process improvements.
Tactical Pricing Process: Manage regional prices to be profitable, competitive, and maximize sales opportunities.
- Receive and review RPRs.
- Validate submitted data and documentation.
- Analyze sales data, historical selling prices, and margins.
- Determine appropriate regional and/or customer prices.
- Provide DAF guidance to Sales.
- Coordinate price system maintenance.
- Communicate price changes to Sales and Customer Service.
- Complete and file reports for each pricing action.
- Maintain RPR database
- Track/report special pricing activity.
- Develop/assess tactical pricing process improvements.
Other:
- Troubleshoot price questions
- Determine/coordinate pricing for new items (MPR)
- Provide net price files as needed
Job Requirements:
Position requires self-motivated and responsible professional with positive attitude, a team player. Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks, analytical, and detail-oriented. Professional communication skills (written and verbal); bilingual preferred (Spanish/English). Candidate must be proficient with Excel and Access, and able to manage and manipulate data, (i.e. part numbers and prices related to competitor part numbers and prices). Candidate should hold Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
