We are looking for a Snr Accounting Analyst DC.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the monthly accounting close of the inventory accounts and Warehouse & Physical Distribution Expenses. This includes reviewing and approving journal entries, completion of monthly financial reports .
  • Responsible for the general ledger accounts that reside in the trial balance of the site and the income statement of the inventory item. This includes formal reconciliation and analysis of all accounts in cooperation with the shared services center.
  • Prepares monthly analyses of variances, in Warehouse and Physical Distribution expenses, distribution center, specific KPIs, and coordinates/tracks financial improvement actions.
  • Verifies and approves the financial impact of cost-saving/continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the expense budget for the distribution center. This includes reviewing and approving business cases.
  • Leads the annual review of the standard cost.
  • It ensures that Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls are effective on site. This includes maintaining control documentation and applying controls as required by company policy.
  • Perform and monitor inventory cyclical and physical counts to ensure data accuracy.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Verifies and approves inventory adjustments and movements
  • Coordinates support for annual internal and external audits.
  • Other responsibilities and ad-hoc projects as dictated by business needs
  • Ensures compliance with global financial policies and procedures applied for Mexico

 

Experience Required

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

 

Skills and experience:

  • 3+ years in a cost/finance accounting control position, within a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
  • Mastery of an ERP system (preferably SAP)
  • Basic experience with the consolidation system (preferably OneStream)
  • Experience in analyzing large volumes of data using the Microsoft suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience working within cross-functional teams.
