FP&A Specialist / Supervisor – Cash Flow & Performance
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced FP&A professional to play a key role in the Finance organization, combining broad FP&A responsibilities with strong ownership of Indirect Cash Flow, Cash Performance and Balance Sheet analysis.
The position will act as a right hand and backup to FP&A leadership, supporting financial planning, forecasting, management closing, performance analysis, executive reporting and business decision support.
A key responsibility of this role will be to strengthen the management of Indirect Cash Flow and overall cash performance, ensuring clear visibility of cash generation and its underlying drivers. The professional will be expected not only to prepare and forecast cash flow, but also to explain performance, identify root causes, challenge assumptions, anticipate risks and opportunities, and support actions to improve cash generation.
The role requires a strong understanding of the connection between P&L, Balance Sheet, Working Capital and Cash Flow, combined with the ability to translate financial movements into clear business insights and executive-level explanations.
Main Responsibilities
Indirect Cash Flow, Cash Performance & Balance Sheet
- Own the Indirect Cash Flow performance management process, including Actuals, Forecast and Budget
- Build and maintain the Indirect Cash Flow, ensuring a clear bridge from P&L/EBITDA to cash generation.
- Prepare and explain monthly Cash Flow bridges and variance analyses versus Forecast, Budget and prior periods.
- Provide clear explanations of the main drivers of cash performance, distinguishing timing effects, structural impacts, risks and opportunities.
- Analyze and forecast the impact of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory and other Working Capital movements on cash generation, partnering with the respective process owners.
- Lead the financial analysis and forecasting of the Balance Sheet, ensuring consistency with P&L and Cash Flow assumptions.
- Analyze key Balance Sheet movements, including AR, AP, Inventory, Accruals, Provisions, Fixed Assets, Intercompany and other relevant accounts.
- Monitor and explain Working Capital and Cash Conversion performance.
- Identify and quantify cash risks and opportunities, including expected timing of reversals and potential full-year impacts.
- Challenge financial and operational assumptions that impact cash generation and support actions to improve cash performance.
- Partner with Accounting, Treasury, AR/AP, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial and Operations to understand cash drivers and support improvement initiatives.
- Ensure consistency and reconciliation across P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
- Develop bridges, dashboards and management tools to strengthen Cash Flow visibility, forecasting and governance.
FP&A & Business Performance
- Act as a key support and direct backup to FP&A leadership in critical processes, meetings, analyses and deliverables.
- Support the full financial planning cycle, including Budget and Forecast.
- Analyze the full P&L, including revenue, margin, COGS, OPEX, SG&A, EBITDA and key business performance drivers.
- Prepare monthly financial analyses, explaining variances versus Budget, Forecast, Actuals and prior periods.
- Prepare financial bridges and performance explanations by area, product, customer, category or business unit.
- Support the monthly closing process in partnership with Accounting, Controlling and other Finance teams.
- Prepare executive presentations for local, regional and global leadership.
- Develop financial models, scenarios and ad hoc analyses to support business decision-making.
- Act as a Finance Business Partner, translating financial information into actionable business insights.
- Identify financial risks, opportunities and performance deviations and propose corrective actions when applicable.
- Support financial governance, internal controls, closing calendar and planning routines.
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization and continuous improvement across FP&A and Cash Flow processes.
- Use OneStream for inputs, extractions, analyses, consolidations and Forecast/Budget/reporting cycles.
- Use SAP for queries, data extraction and financial analysis.
- Interact with regional and global teams in English, participating in meetings, presentations and financial discussions.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Finance or related fields.
- Solid experience in FP&A, Financial Planning, Controlling or related Finance areas.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with Indirect Cash Flow, Balance Sheet and Working Capital.
- Strong ability to connect and explain the relationship between P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
- Experience with Budget, Forecast, P&L, variance analysis and management reporting.
- Fluent English, with the ability to participate in meetings, present analyses and interact with international stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with OneStream.
- Hands-on experience with SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate financial data into business insights.
- Strong communication, autonomy, ownership, organization and prioritization skills.
- Ability to operate with large volumes of data, multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in multinational companies.
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, auto parts or other complex business environments.
- Experience with regional or global Finance structures.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools.
- Experience with CAPEX, Inventory and Working Capital.
- Experience in process improvement, automation and standardization of Finance routines.
- Basic Portuguese proficiency to facilitate interaction with Brazilian stakeholders will be considered a plus.
