Commodity Buyer

We’re seeking a driven and analytical Commodity Buyer to play a key role in shaping our sourcing strategies, building strong supplier partnerships, and driving cost-competitive solutions for a leading manufacturing organization. Reporting directly to the Commodity Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our procurement process — from market research to negotiation, from data analysis to project implementation.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the Commodity Manager to develop and execute commodity strategies.

• Research materials and suppliers to become the go-to expert in your commodity area.

• Prepare impactful documentation for supplier meetings, negotiations, and management presentations.

• Lead RFQ (Request for Quotation) and RFI (Request for Information) processes — from launch to evaluation.

• Liaise between suppliers and internal teams (Engineering, Operations, Marketing) to ensure smooth communication.

• Analyze financial results to recommend best-value sourcing decisions.

• Resolve invoice and pricing discrepancies while maintaining positive supplier relationships.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency in procurement.

What makes you successful

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Materials Management, or Logistics (CPIM certification is a plus).

• Experience: 3–5 years in Purchasing/Procurement or Materials Management, ideally in high-volume manufacturing.

• Strong understanding of RFQ processes, supplier management, and data analysis.

• Proven track record working with global teams to deliver savings and process improvements.

• Excellent communication skills in English; other languages are an advantage.

• Ability to travel internationally when needed.
