Cycle Counter

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Plant Cycle Counter will perform audits on and investigations into identified issues with the perpetual inventory of material within the plant, including Raw Materials, Work in Process and Finished Goods stock keeping units.  This position takes direction and assignment from the Material Manager.  This position will work and interface with individuals from the Quality, Materials and Manufacturing areas to accomplish their assignments.  This position must exhibit individual initiative, discipline of action, and technical knowledge of the systems utilized.  This position will follow all company policies, guidelines and work instructions in meeting the legal, ethical and financial requirements of the company.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. This position will adhere to EHSMS policies and procedures to insure a safe and compliant work environment. 
2. This position will adhere to the QMS policies and procedures to insure the production of quality products for our customers. 
3. This position will adhere to Federal-Mogul financial and inventory accounting practices/guidelines/procedures.
4. This position will maintain equipment utilized by the individual and an organized work environment in the course of completing his/her duties. 
5. The position will notify their manager or other members of the management team if they find non-conformities or are unable to complete their assigned tasks. 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. This position will carry out Federal-Mogul financial guidelines and procedures for maintenance of the perpetual inventory system within the facility.  This may include but not be limited to:
1. Data entry of scrap tickets from production or others into SAP.
2. Counting of inventory through piece scale counts, reconciliation against inventory records and then determination of variance.
3. Usage and entry of records within SAP.
4. Maintenance of records and files associated with processes.
2. As requested by their Manager, the Cycle Counter may participate in determining corrective actions of non compliant inventory counts, processes or processing.
3. The person in this position must understand and utilize the existing inventory reconciling process and be able to detect damage and deterioration of product during the cycle count activity.
4. This position shall report any discrepancies to their manager or supervisor once identified for proper reporting within the Financial Reporting requirements of our company.  This must be done timely in order to meet financial reporting schedules.
5. This description is not all encompassing; the position may perform other duties as assigned by their manager, supervisor or other management representative in the due course of business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

1. Must be able to operate lift equipment and scales.
2. Ability to use current inventory reconciling process.
3. Two years work experience within storeroom environment.
4. Ability to lift 35 lbs. with proper lifting technique, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
5. Ability to understand shop math, blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
6. Capable of using personal computer to complete documentation and obtain information.
7. Ability to read work instructions and documentation.
8. Have a superior record of attendance and punctuality.
