JOB DESCRIPTION

 

 Material Master Analyst

 

Position Summary

 

The material master position focuses on analyzing new product information and maintenance requests, which involves mass templates loaded into SAP for all plants. Master data checks are executed and analyzed for errors and expert feedback is provided and addressed to all DRiV cross-functional users. Documentation of new requirements is critical to create success of accurate data, which is key to productivity. Master data support is required on key projects for system conversions globally. The position is responsible for executing master data checks, review and resolve data integrity issues. Errors missed can affect order-to-cash on a large scale for all DRiV customers.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, analyze and update master data records for consolidation/deletion, and enhance master data content in SAP for DRiV
  • Ability to run queries and assist in master data corrections; totals 130 queries.
  • Analyze and process NPI and maintenance requests for all product lines; provide expert feedback to users.
  • Standard cost ability on product as requested for all DRIV locations in North America
  • Update training and template documentation for all business users (Supply Chain, product management, finance analysts, and engineering).
  • Identify and troubleshoot errors along with training users on mass load templates.
  • Develop, recommend and implement business process enhancements, as well as design and execute SAP queries as needed for data.
  • Coordinates New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensures master data coding conventions are applied as it relates to proper configuration within SAP and by plant, by product line.
  • Input data into the SAP system for new/existing products and make necessary changes to existing SAP data for current products.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to business units to enhance the quality of customer, material and master data.
  • Participate in master data activities for vendor and product.
  • Ensure that standards and guidelines are created for all aspects.
  • Assist in process improvement initiatives by working across technical teams to enhance the systems, process and controls to ensure effective development.
  • Coordination with SAP development team for data export/imports
  • Knowledge of various SAP modules such as SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling), SAP MM (Materials Management), and SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)
  • Strong skills in data analysis and reporting tools such as SAP BW (Business Warehouse) and SAP BO (BusinessObjects).
  • Experience with SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) for integrating SAP with other systems.
  • Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
  • Conduct training plans as required on projects.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience with reports and customer analysis experience, SAP Master Data or data maintenance
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must interface with management and field personnel, and external customers.
  • Must be able to work in a team setting, as well as individually with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical skills required; must be able to quickly analyze SAP master data
  • Expertise in Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Microsoft
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage projects, planning, execution, and monitor launches
  • Capability to work efficiently independantly
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business environments and new technologies
