US / Canada Customs and Trade Manager (Skokie, Southfield or Remote locations)

 

  • Appointed as single operational point of contact for the US and Canadian Customs and Trade Compliance Team; position is intended to have direct reports
  • Oversee HTS and ECCN program compliance; including data management of within ERP, Trade Compliance and Broker Systems.  Position will manage over global classification policies for all regions of import.
  • Manage over Non-Customs Compliance Participating Government Agencies reporting; coordinate with internal departments for proper reporting and PGA declarations
  • Lead Special Trade Program team to support proper Free Trade Agreement declarations and support FTA Qualification support for customers
  • Support Duty Leakage Action Planning
  • Support Supply Chain Security program’s, not limited to CTPAT. Ensure timely filing of Import Security Files (ISF)
  • Participate in landed cost modeling and support Make vs Buy decisions.
  • Audit Customs Brokers against performance standards; conduct internal audits
  • Manage over US Customer returns from Canadian cross dock; assist in generating pro-forma invoices
  • Support with Duty Drawback claims
  • Ensure proper valuation on import declarations; including management of the Value Reconciliation program and any additions to price paid or payable (Ex Assists)
  • Support Customs Rulings in US and Canada
  • Manage over Customs Requests for Information, Broker POA’s, Liquidated Damages etc.
  • Support Export Document Consulate stamping
  • Serve as the account owner for Canadian CARM and US ACE / CTPAT Systems
  • Develop RoadMap for CTPAT Compliance program; formerly known as Importer Self-Assessment accreditation
  • Responsible for Monthly payment of Duties and Taxes to US and Canadian authorities

Global Trade Compliance Analysts (2 New Additional FTE’s + Possible backfill of Karthi’s position from India) – Located in Bucharest, Romania

 

 

  • Responsible for US, CA and EMEA Region project classification work
  • Will be required to support product Free Trade Agreement Qualification efforts for all regions; when required, will solicit suppliers for FTA certificates.
  • Will support collection of Supplier solicitation of Long-Term Origin declarations.
  • Fall Back support for EMEA Customs Operations / CBAM / Green Tax / REACH Compliance
  • Provide supplemental operational support for US/CA operations; will serve as “Out of Office” support for US/CA Operations
  • Manage over solicitating suppliers for Supply Chain Security Questionnaires; where suppliers are not meeting Minimum Security Requirements, the analyst will build an action plan with the supplier to meet requirements.
  • This position will manage over all customs broker performance in region; which includes conducting broker performance audits
  • Management of the global Restricted Party Screening operations; will manage over all customer and supplier data collection efforts and first line screening. Escalating any true matches.
  • Assist with collecting data reports from all broker partners globally; support Global Trade Data Analyst with data prep for trade metrics

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

APAC/India Trade Compliance Analyst (Replacement backfill (downgrade to analyst from Kevin Jiang)) – Can be located at any Driv facility in China, SE Asia, India or Australia

 

 

  • Will report into the APAC Logistics Manager and will provide regional support for Trade Compliance
  • Will serve as the regional lead for all Customs and Trade Compliance initiatives.
  • The position will support general oversite over plant and DC operations and ensure adherence to Global Company Policies.
  • This position will manage over all customs broker performance in region; which includes conducting broker performance audits
  • As needed, will support the efforts of the North American and EMEA Global Trade and Logistics team on any direct communication with suppliers (Material and Logistic Service Providers) for imports into those respective regions.
  • Position may be required to do limited travel within region to conduct Trade Compliance internal audits
  • Any non-conformances of brokers/LSP’s or found in internal control audits will require development of action plans and root cause analysis.
  • Analyst will support trade compliance needs within any regional business cases or cost savings initiatives
