Position Summary: Coordinates the organizations Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to protect employees and the company against harm and maintain safe working conditions. This position is required to maintain Tenneco and local standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities |
- Responsible for identifying hazardous workplace conditions and recommending actions to management.
- Ensure that the plant is in compliance with all environmental, safety and health regulations from both Tenneco and Federal, State, and/or Local Standards.
- Maintain all appropriate records for environmental, safety and health programs, including OSHA 300 Log.
- Ensure all employees are trained in appropriate safety related areas per training plan.
- Participates in the Safety Committee, including training of Safety Committee members in plant auditing.
- Organizes and conducts accident and near miss investigations.
- Assist the EHS Manager with the reduction of Workers' Compensation cost through effectively reducing workplace hazards and ensuring employees understanding of safe practices.
- Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with fellow team members and other departments. Communicates with various levels of supervision and management in all departments and is capable of working with little to no supervision.
- Adheres to safety policies and procedures, fosters a safe working environment, and monitors work habits of other team members. Works in a safety conscious manner and ensures equipment is in safe working condition.
- Adheres to quality policies and procedures, fosters a quality minded working environment, and monitors work habits of other team members.
- Adhere to and follow all plant rules, policies, procedures and practices related to any factory management system(s).
