SUMMARY:

 

Responsible for all aspects of customer satisfaction from processing orders to generating shipping paperwork.  Manages higher volume/higher dollar production accounts.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  1. Receive, evaluate, and process customer orders.
  2. Interact with customers to fulfill their requirements
  3. Produce shipping documents for other’s customers as well as their own.
  4. Interact with Planning and Manufacturing to meet customer requirements      
  5. Attend meetings as needed.
  6. Generate reports such as CSR, Booked Orders, and Priority Reports
  7. Follows the Quality Management System requirements as outlined in the applicable QMS procedures and work instructions; and suggests ways for continual improvement
  8. Follows EHS rules and regulations and suggests ways for continual improvement
  9. Promptly reports quality problems, personal injuries and unsafe conditions.
  10. Maintains a clean and orderly work area

 

 

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

 

  1. Understands the manufacturing, packaging, and distribution processes at Skokie.
  2. Ability to read and interpret documents such as Customer Purchase Orders, EDI and Oracle Reports.  Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers or employees.  Ability to read and understand procedures, work instructions, safety rules and warning signs.
  3. Analytical abilities necessary to plan and prioritize own work, complete work on schedule, manage multiple priorities and maintain required records and logs.
  4. Interpersonal skills necessary to exchange information with engineering, purchasing, planning, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and customers.
  5. Proven ability to learn new concepts and processes and utilize them within a team as they apply to specific customers.
  6. Demonstrated skills in the operation of various computer programs including Oracle, Excel, Word, Access, Lotus Notes, and PowerPoint.  Ability to access customer websites to process orders and/or shipments.
  7. Knowledge of the principles of Constraint Management and Just In Time.
  8. Experience with SAP is a plus

 

COMPENSATION:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $60,000 - $75,000. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
