Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Skokie, IL

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on HR Manager to serve as a trusted business partner to designated corporate functional groups. This role will support leaders and employees by driving HR initiatives that align with business objectives, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and best practices. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Business Partnership: Act as a strategic advisor to corporate function leaders, providing guidance on talent strategy, organizational design, and workforce planning.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent resolution aligned with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Talent Management & Development: Support leadership in identifying high-potential employees, succession planning, and driving professional development initiatives.
  • Performance Management: Guide managers in setting performance expectations, coaching employees, and executing performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Compensation & Benefits Support: Partner with Total Rewards to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices within supported functions.
  • Organizational Effectiveness: Lead change management efforts and initiatives that enhance team effectiveness, engagement, and overall business performance.
  • HR Compliance & Policy Implementation: Ensure adherence to employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices while mitigating risk.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting: Utilize data analytics to provide insights and recommendations on workforce trends, retention, and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a corporate or business partnership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders, influence decisions, and drive HR strategies that impact business outcomes.
  • Experience with performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives forward.
