General Summary

Knowledge and skills beyond that of an Operator through work on manufacturing equipment, machinery or information systems. Responsible for troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Complete work that meets production and quality standards. Notify the Operations Supervisor of any occurrences that negatively impact production. This Team Member typically has acquired the general knowledge and skills of the Operator. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental guidelines.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform duties in the assigned work area, which include machine and specialized equipment operations, mill operations, shipping and receiving, materials handling, warehouse and dock, quality, laser cutting, mold cleaning, high rise/turret truck and others.
• Set Up, Operate or shut down equipment and run computer programs needed to complete and document work assignments.
• Follow safety procedures and DRIV’s safety policy at all times. Notify the Operations Supervisor of unsafe or hazardous working conditions immediately.
• Follow Quality Management System requirements as outlined for the job. Suggests ways for continual improvement for the work unit assigned and to ways to improve efficiencies between work units.
• Perform visual, and functional inspection according to engineering drawings/specifications and general quality Inspection.
• Certified or has the ability to be certified to complete 1st article checks.
• Precisely follow written instructions as outlined on press cards, standard work, or work instructions.
• 5S Housekeeping and work area cleaning tasks
• Resolve minor issues that hinder or slow the progress in the work area.
• Other tasks and assignments consistent with knowledge and training.

Associate Level

• Proficient with tools, programs and equipment needed to perform job duties.

Addendum: Specifics for Area Worked

Automatic Press Operator (Single Stroke)

• Set-up and operate automatic punch press machine.
• Change coil material.
• Remove and Install tools.
• Drive fork-lift truck.
• Use conveyor and catcher depending on size of part.
• Recycle and Identify material.

PKG Warehouse Picker

• Maintains accurate inventory controls by recording amounts of product received or picked. though a WPS (Warehouse Picking System), assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Assist receiving area by putting away stock through WPS system.
• Pick order as requested using a WPS picking system. Proficiency with equipment.
• Properly tag each completed picking container, confirming accuracy of each order.
• Ensure correct shipping information moving completed orders to shipping area.
• Place containers onto assigned pallets, and secure full loads with stretch wrap.
• Operate Big Joe trucks for high picking.
• Drive tugger route.

PKG Team Member

• Identify and report any quality issue with labels and components once shrink wrap, keeping track of any rejects.
• Track production quantity per BOM and record it on hour by hour board.
• Adjust heat shrink tunnel as needed or correct quality output of shrink sets. 
• Pull, lift and transport components to and from other location using a cart or hand jack.
• Inspect finished sets for tear, loose film, incorrect label prior to be place on tram board containers.
• Work with Move7 and Oracle programs.

PKG Returns

• Receive incoming returns, sort by SFA number and assign a LP in Excel database.
• Audit packing slip against physical load, scan product into an Access97 database by using an assign SFA number provided by customer.
• Recognize date code on sets and apply when scanning.
• Allocate scan sets in three categories, Good, Open, Damage (TBD). Good will set aside for rework, Open will be flag as scrap and Damage (TBD) is set aside of retail.
• Sort and review sets for components changes using Access97 program to print and verify set change History.
• Audit completed carts, up load and scan move ticket using Oracle system before sending cars to D.C.
• Read and understand BOM when re-boxing good products onto new book folders.

PKG IRA Receiving Inspector

• Accurately read and comprehended documentation relating to material.
• Inspect incoming material as per customer specification for workmanship, dimensions, tolerances and usability.
• Interpret inspection results and generated reports.
• Perform visual, and functional inspection according to engineering drawings/specifications and general quality Inspection.
• Create, move and break down palletized lots throughout the warehouse via forklift.
• Conduct reports for upper management including purchase order status reports.
• Maintain files and perform data entry into database MS Access MS Excel and Oracle.

PKG Lift Truck Operator

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming conveyor and deliver to assigned locations.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Inspect forklift to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Change truck Battery when needed and preform battery maintenance.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Manage inventory using voice warehouse management system. Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions

PKG Board Coordinator

• Schedule deliveries of completed picking tasks to assigned production departments according to their workload requirements.
• Prepare completed picking tasks for distribution to production cells.
• Assign job series storage lanes through Numina for picker drop off.

ICT Team Member

• Work with Packaging, Outbound and Receiving on any quality issues requiring isolation of specific inventory for inspection by the Quality, Production and or Process Engineers.
• Ensure that Cycle Counts (counts, re-counts, and adjustments) are all within the parameters as defined by the Sarbanes Oxley Act (base act and amendments are provided by the Operations Supervisor). Participate in audits with the External Auditor, in-house Finance Executives, and Operations Supervisor.
• Log adjustments in the SAP WM of damaged parts and forward those damaged parts to Quality or Packaging department for destruction/recycling.

ICT Member High Rise Truck

• Stock Replenishments: Assess the type of shipping boxes needed, number, and locations throughout the distribution center.
• Process racks that have return goods sent back by the customers.
• Count product lines and pieces in both picking bins and overstock locations. Drivers will utilize the high-rise lift truck and on-board RF technology to count overstock locations.
• High-Rise Lift Truck Driving: Driver will take a class and pass an exam covering topics as 3-point center load distribution, weight distribution, safety precautions, and incline procedures.
• Operate the carousel units both from the TSWA application pickers utilize and the analog unit on the driver’s side of the carousels. Drivers will also learn how to troubleshoot why a carousel is inoperable.
• Troubleshoot issues with tickets utilizing the Move7i system, research mis-placed loads, and double check cycle counts.

FPD Packaging Team Member

• Pack specific items and quantities, from all assigned and/or designated areas in work center. Must be able to read the information disseminated on the Bill of Materials.
• Navigate the various technological tools to process pack orders, rectify errors, Ability to use WM to check in finished good items.
• Housekeeping tasks can include, but are not limited to: Collect and break down corrugated, gather and place pallets in specifically designated area, collect and dispose of garbage receptacles, sweep, cut plastic wrap and discard in proper receptacles.

FPD Turret Truck Driver

• Stock Put-away: Work with SAP WM to do put-away based on ticket scanned.
• Consolidations: Consolidate loads by doing stock transfers in WM SAP.
• Pick and send product to Packaging and Outbound.
• Count product lines and pieces in both picking bins and overstock locations. Drivers will utilize the high-rise lift truck and on-board RF technology to count stock locations.
• High-Rise Lift Truck Driving: Driver will take a class and pass an exam covering topics as 3-point center load distribution, weight distribution, safety precautions, and incline procedures. Afterwards, drivers will receive 6-months of practical driving time on a high-rise lift truck learning how to operate the turret, height override, and the use of on-board RF technology to process Consolidations, Put-away, and Picking tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues with tickets utilizing the SAP system, research mis-placed loads, and double check cycle counts.

FPD Shipping Coordinator

• Prioritize and disseminate a fluid workload to pick areas while simultaneously assessing manpower to meet the demands of the fluid workload (in consultation with the DRIV Coach).
• Maintain and boost production efficiency. Rectify any system issues working closely with IS and IT contacts when necessary.
• Utilize several specialized codes in WM to track tasks, orders, boxes, and shipments anywhere along the pick to ship process.
• Work with ICT to get parts to close open orders or special orders. Also directs re-picks of certain tasks when required filling out the necessary paperwork and making the required WM adjustments.
• Implement lean strategies and other directives as directed by the Supervisor.
• Ensure that carrier lanes are cleared in an orderly and timely fashion so that additional orders can be released to that carrier lane to be processed.
• Ensure every order is shipping by the scheduled ship date and time (always updating the Traffic Team of status).
• Enter data into designated workbooks designed, and amended periodically, by the Team Leader. May need to utilize and manipulate some MS Access queries to get specific information.

FPD Receiving Team Member

• Verify incoming product from outside suppliers using packing list or paperwork.
• Communicate with Quality Supervisor, Quality Technician and team members for any quality issues/ rejected part and the approval of new parts.
• Gather item information for Mater Data input.
• Ensure closure of Goods Receipt for external and internal vendors.
• Operate hand truck or a power truck to move parts within the inspection area/conveyors.

DCT Member Dock

• Learn and master all of the shipping lanes.

• Learn and master correct lifting techniques, stacking requirements, packing lists in addition to bill of lading requirements and custom paperwork if required, the utilization of different skid types based upon government or customer requirements, and detect and resolve errors such as missing boxes and missing parts.
• Operate equipment such as a banding gun, shrink-wrap machines, and RF technology.
• Seal boxes and re-divert boxes that come down the error lane.
• Identify boxes that have incorrectly diverted to the wrong lane or not divert at all utilizing the MOVE system.

DCT Member Picker

• Pick specific items and quantities, of various order types, from all assigned and/or designated areas on the floor, in order to fill orders and insert those picked items into the correct box.
• Navigate the various technological tools to process picks, rectify errors, and research the travel path of any pick and/or box in the shipping process.
• Housekeeping tasks, include but are not limited to: Collect and break down corrugated long and short sleeve boxes, gather and place tramboards in specifically designated collection bins, collect and dispose of garbage receptacles, sweep, cut plastic wrap discard excess, and round-up of any and all misplaced parts to be issued to the inventory control team.
• Sealing tasks are usually mechanical in nature, pushing a box through a machine that automatically seals a box.
• DCTM1 employees have the option (not required) to learn the process of stock replenishments. This task is manually intensive taking a daily inventory of and replenishing corrugated ship box levels throughout the warehouse.

LP Cell Team Member

• Set up, trouble-shoot and operate either ONE of the following presses in D110:  Traveling Head Press, Preco Press, Beam Press 725 and Beam Press 341, Beam Press 862 and Press 756.
• Certified or has the ability to be certified to do 1st article checks.

LP Lift Truck Operator

• Operate a stand-up or sit-down forklift and a walkie truck.
• Ability to operate the Tugger – the LP Material Transportation System.
• Must have knowledge of the Move 7I program.

Sheeter/Slitter Operator

• Set up, trouble-shoot and operate the Paper Cutter (Machine No. 181), the Sheeter (Machine No. 596) and the Slitter (Machine No. 414).
• Operate a hoist.
• License to operate a Walkie truck.
• Certified or has the ability to be certified to do 1st article checks.

Compound Mixer

• Mix compounds, know and check formulas and specifications, run samples, order material, receive materials, complete cycle counts, open and close WIP, make deliveries.
• Single Stroke Set Up.
• Set-Up all presses.
• Remove existing tool and install new tool by using die truck, remove and install new gondola to recycle material. Make 1st article and approve 1st. article.
• Assembly gaskets – Close parts using armors, grommets, eyelets after all presses are ready with pre-staging for all work-centers.

Slitter Operator

• Setup and Operate Slitter Line, 767, 757, 772, 471,319.
• Identify process, material and equipment problems.
• Move parts by hand or using hand truck.
• Complete daily production paper work including move tickets, quality log sheets and safety checks.
• Perform First Article inspection.
• Move materials by Hoist System.
• May operate power truck to push, pull, lift or move products or materials.

Receiving Team Member

• Load and unload incoming trucks / verify incoming freight to BOL/ pick and delivery of material to the various VS.
• Locate and update incoming material/basic truck maintenance changing and adding water to batteries.
• Sort incoming UPS/FedEx /DHL packages. Deliver them to various individual throughout the plant.
• Unload incoming pallets outside in adverse weather conditions.

Rule Die Shop Operator

• Ability to set up, trouble-shoot and operate the Rule Die Laser Machine and the Rule Die Bender.
• Good working knowledge about rule dies and ability to build and repair rule dies.
• Ability to read programs and load them into the machines to make the dies.
• Certified or has the ability to be certified to complete 1st article checks.

Automatic Punch Press Operator

• Accountable for operating automatic punch presses in d465 / d858. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Equipment set up and operation, part quality, inspection, and packaging. Identification of and the ability to react to safety, process, material, quality, and equipment issues. 

Die Shop Operator

• Accountable for pre-staging material, assisting in press set up, finished good inspection, and delivery of finished product throughout the facility.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist in equipment set up, material and die staging, part quality, inspection, and packaging. Identification of and the ability to react to safety, process, material, quality, and equipment issues. 

Laser Cutting Cell Operator

• Responsible for setting up and operating all CNC laser machines in work center.
• Create NC files using CAD/CAM software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with laser cutting performance.
• Operate machines required to blank, coat, emboss, assemble, and label multi-layer steel (MLS) gaskets.
• Perform one-piece flow processes in a single-person workstation.
• Complete daily production paperwork including piece-count sheet, quality check sheet, move ticket, and production tracking requirements. 
• Precisely follow instructions as outlined on the press card, standard work, and work instructions.
• Identify discrepancies in the product compared to sample and according to quality acceptance criteria.
• Set up machines required to blank, coat, emboss, assemble, and label multi-layer steel (MLS) gaskets.
• Perform die exchanges and locate/return dies to correct locations.
• Perform inspection and packaging operations.
• Move parts by hand or by using a manual or powered truck. 
• Use measuring instruments to take accurate measurements.

Mid/High Volume

• Perform all processes and operate machines required to blank, crank, emboss, assemble, and label MLS gaskets in manual, mid-volume, and high-volume workstations.
• Perform one-piece flow processes in a multi-person workstation.
• Complete daily production paperwork including piece-count sheet, quality check sheet, move ticket, and production tracking requirements. 
• Identify process, material, and equipment problems and notify team leader or supervisor.
• Promptly report quality problems and shut down the equipment if unable to resolve.
• Move parts by hand or by using a manual or powered truck. 
• Understand quality criteria for parts produced.
• Perform inspection and packaging operations.
• Perform die exchanges and locate/return dies to correct locations
• Take accurate measurements and record them into data collection software.

Partial Coating Cell Team Member

• Setup, operate, and maintain equipment in partial coating cell including a spray wash line, roll coater, dryer, screen printer, batch curing oven, and screen cleaner.
• Setup, operate, and maintain various analytical instruments and tools including scales, viscometer, moisture analyzer, Betascope, dyne fluid, etc.
• Perform quality inspections as necessary, using various measuring instruments.
• Startup and/or shutdown equipment and perform cleanout procedures as necessary.
• Mix, order, dispense, maintain, and dispose of coatings.
• Identify process, material, and equipment problems and troubleshoot as necessary.
• Complete daily production paperwork including piece-count sheet, quality check sheet, move ticket, and production tracking requirements. 
• Precisely follow instructions as outlined on the press card, standard work, and work instructions.
• Identify discrepancies in the product compared to sample and according to quality acceptance criteria
• Move parts by hand or by using a manual or powered truck. 

LEM Cell Team Member

• Setup, operate, and maintain equipment in LEM cell including a sheet processing line, screen printer, mold press, and mechanical press.
• Perform one-piece flow processes in a multi-person workstation.
• Complete daily production paperwork including piece-count sheet, quality check sheet, move ticket, and production tracking requirements. 
• Precisely follow instructions as outlined on the press card, standard work, and work instructions.
• Identify discrepancies in the product compared to sample and according to quality acceptance criteria
• Perform die exchanges and locate/return dies to correct locations
• Perform inspection and packaging operations.
• Move parts by hand or by using a manual or powered truck. 
• Use measuring instruments to take accurate measurements.

MR Receiving Team Member

• Verify the safety of all working Dock equipment. Forklifts, Cushman and Dock plates are checked and documented on a daily safety checklist.
• Basic maintenance of forklifts: changing propane tanks and charging batteries.
• Responsible for loading and unloading all trailers.
• Confirm piece count / labels and sign all freight Bill of Ladings
• Complete external supplied PO’s via the Oracle Custom inventory warehouse and Work in Process module.
• Deliver incoming parts and materials to incoming QA area or designated rack locations.
• Verify all piece counts / labels and move tickets from MR manufacturing.
• Sort, consolidate and wrap finished parts for shipment to OE & Aftermarket warehouses.
• Load finished parts on trailer for delivery to Dock 1 (Aftermarket) & Dock 4 (OE).
• Manage visual reorder points and ordering all Zipp corrugated items and skids for MR unit.
• Deliver via Cushman all ‘recycling’ gondolas to Dock 3.
• Complete weight counts for all MR cycle count activities.
• Maintain Dock 5s and continuous flow of loads.

Silicone Mill Operator

• Identify and know rubber ingredients by name and 4M#.
• Utilize a scale/ barcode system for ingredient compounding operation.
• Employ proper handling and storage methods for silicone ingredients.
• Safely mix silicone on a 2 roll, 60” mill following predetermined recipes and procedures.
• Perform visual inspection of the mixing process to ensure product quality.
• Wrap the silicone ‘pigs’ in the appropriate color-coded plastic for storage.
• Test silicone quality on a moving die rheometer (MDR); flag questionable to failing batches for lab review. 
• Complete daily production into Oracle.
• 5S the silicone compounding and mixing areas.
• Schedule silicone mixing requirements based upon production consumption or external requests.

Traffic Office

• Managing traffic for inbound & outbound product, for internal & external customers, and for the outside processing job.
• Reviews and codes both inbound & outbound freight bills for payment.
• Publishes carrier performance and other reports.
• Coordinate freight claim policies for both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Maintains the daily activity log for the house trucks for the Skokie Plant.

Wash Line Dip Room

• Verification of Wash line chemistry.
• Knowledge of caustic and acidic material handling.
• Proper knowledge on treating the wash lines for tank disposal/ draining.
• Verify the dip room adhesive concentrations.
• Knowledge of solvent material handling.
• Proper knowledge of solvent handling for disposal.
• Verify wash line and dip room are working properly, e.g. dip room tanks move correctly, RTO temperatures are at set temps, Dryer in dip room is working; correct air flow in dipping area.

Mold Support Systems Specialist

• Assists production employees with operational problems on all shifts with the ability to obtain production 1 st Article Sample Approval (checking parts against acceptance criteria, completing paperwork, and submitting parts for approval).
• Supports daily operations at the press with mold troubleshooting, assembly/disassembly, and minor (nonmachine shop) repair work.
• Disassembles, repairs, cleans, and reassembles all mold types including complex valve gate style cold runner systems, and orders parts/machine inventory as necessary.
• Moves molds and mold components for viewing, cleaning, shipping/receiving, and repair, using lift trucks and hoists.
• Operates tools and machines necessary for mold cleaning, preventative maintenance, and mold repair.
• Removes and installs rubber injection molds into a variety of presses using various tools and power mold trucks.
• Removes and installs rubber injection molds into preheat ovens and storage racks using power mold trucks

Material Prep Analyst

• Set up and operate plasma welding process.
• Perform daily titration checks on wash lines for proper chemical concentration.
• Hang parts at the wash line and dip room to be processed prior to molding following a production schedule system (FIFO).
• Mix chemicals used in the dipping process for preparing metals per work instructions.
• Drain wash line tanks, refill and recharge chemicals in tanks per work instruction.
• Deliver prepared metals to molding presses using manual hand truck.
• Report daily productions output and scrap counts.

OE Shipping

• Create barcode and shipping labels and attach them to the cartons or pallets.
• Palletize cartons for truck shipments. Move and load pallets.
• Create UPS orders & Fed-x orders.
• Perform the picking/prepping of parts to an order.
• Perform visual inspection on packed orders for accuracy.
• Receive, verify, and transfer stock into the warehouse.

Utilities

• This employee works on dock 3 (scrap dock), and ensures all incoming waste, refuse and recyclable are handled safely, and that regulations are followed, and cross contamination is prevented.
• Loads and unloads trailers with materials.
• Receives and sorts materials from 2 automatic guided vehicles. 
• Orders and receives janitorial supplies, salt, and calcium chloride.
• Sorts recycle materials such as copper, brass, aluminum, and steel, stainless steel both clean and dirty wooden skids and paper products.
