Job Description: Global Environmental Manager

Position Summary
The Global Environmental Manager is responsible for executing key elements of DRiV’s global environmental strategy. This role leads the development and implementation of environmental programs that align with international regulations, corporate sustainability goals, and industry best practices. The manager will drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact while supporting operational excellence across DRiV’s global footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Implementation
- Develop and author environmental programs, standards, and guidance documents.
- Lead the global rollout of DRiV’s environmental initiatives.
- Mentor site-level EHS teams to ensure effective implementation of corporate environmental requirements.
- Create and deliver training materials to support program adoption and operational understanding.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Monitor and assess environmental controls across operations; advise sites on compliance improvements.
- Track evolving environmental legislation and liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure proactive compliance.
- Provide strategic guidance on risk reduction methods aligned with business objectives.
- Lead scalable solutions to address systemic environmental risks across the organization.
Vendor & Project Management
- Manage relationships with preferred environmental vendors, including: selection of best available techniques, contract execution, scheduling of services, and consultant oversight.
- Support environmental due diligence projects, including Phase I and II environmental assessments.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Analyze environmental KPIs using DRiV’s EHS systems to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare periodic reports for the EHS leadership team on program status, performance, and strategic initiatives.
Auditing & Certification
- Lead implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems across global sites.
- Coordinate global environmental audits and inspections; ensure timely corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and industry associations across regions.
- Manage additional environmental projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline (required).
Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
Experience
Minimum 5 years of environmental management experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing air, water, and waste-related risks.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
- Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification
- Professional Engineer (PE) – Environmental Discipline
- LEED Accreditation (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)
Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 40% travel when required
