Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results driven Product Manager to manage and grow our existing product lines in ride control and exhaust systems while introducing new product lines in operator comfort and electrical, electronics and controls. In this position you will collaborate with the sales team to grow existing business by reacting to market conditions and voice of the customer regarding key growth factors (i.e. pricing, positioning, availability etc.). In addition, you will be responsible for new product additions to strengthen the overall portfolio and coverage. In this role, you will also be responsible for new product line introductions including Starters & Alternators, Wipers, Mirrors, Lighting, HVAC, and Turbocharger Electronic Actuators. You will be responsible for the strategic direction of new product offerings as well as profitability and speed to market execution.
Key Responsibilities.
- Grow existing product categories by working with cross functional business partners to identify opportunities and execute accordingly.
- Access overall strength and positioning of existing product lines. Perform market analysis to identify customer opportunities and deliver solutions that meet customer demand.
- Lead cross functional teams through product development, integration, and commercialization initiatives ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Own Product Line P&L, driving profitability, margin improvement, and growth opportunities through product line reviews and sales pipeline support.
- Work with inventory, supply chain, demand planning, and customer service to ensure all service level expectations are met and maintained.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new product line introductions. Work with purchasing to define strategic sourcing partners. Develop portfolio strategies and sku selection to account for coverage models.
- Work with marketing and sales on launch planning initiatives for all new product line introductions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- 5+ years’ experience in Product Management, Marketing, or Engineering. Ideally in the commercial truck and off highway segments.
- Experience in managing cross functional teams through new product development stage gate processes.
- Proven ability to own and drive product roadmap strategy, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
- Strong understanding of P&L, cost structures, and margin improvement strategies.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
