DESCRIPTION

Tenneco/DRiV is looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Sr. Product Specialist who is enthusiastic about the off-road/performance automotive aftermarket.  The Sr. Product Specialist will define and execute DRiV’s product strategy for Rancho shocks and struts.

This role is inherently cross-functional — you will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Pricing, Purchasing, Marketing, and Network Planning. This job will require exceptional communication skills and planning skills.

This individual must have the ability to execute processes, track progress to planned deliverables across a large product portfolio, communicate results and escalate risks.

We are seeking candidates to work out of the Southfield, MI location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define new product opportunities and lead cross-functional teams to launch.
  • Initiate new product introduction requests in the planning system and define key milestones based on prioritization ranking.
  • Track progress and phase status of new product introductions against key milestones, influence cross-functional teams to execute responsibilities against the timeline, identify potential risks and/or delays and drive actions to mitigate delays.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to actively promote Rancho products.
  • Analyze features and benefits of Rancho products versus competitors and collaborate with Pricing Team to define value-based pricing.
  • Define root cause and corrective actions when financial gaps against budget are identified.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of work experience within Engineering, Product Management, Project Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business Development, Strategy, Marketing or Sales. 
  • Enthusiasm for the off-road/ performance market.
  • Excellent project management and overall communication skills.
  • Experience owning/driving projects to completion.
  • Strong collaboration ability with customers and Sales Team.
  • Proficiency with systems.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, critical-thinking and time management skills.
  • Travel domestic and international up to 10%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across functions.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and overcome challenges with a high degree of flexibility and professionalism.
